PSL 8: Practice match between Quetta and Karachi cancelled

Today’s PSL 8  practice match between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators at Karachi’s National Bank Cricket Arena has been canceled because of the upcoming eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Saturday, the media manager for the Karachi Kings confirmed the news, but he did not say why the decision was made.

Before PSL 8, both teams were supposed to use the practice match to try out their lineups.

All of the teams except Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars, who will play the first game of PSL 8 in Multan, are practicing in Karachi.

The opening ceremony for PSL 8 will take place in Multan on February 13, right before the first game between the 2021 winners Multan Sultans and the defending champions Lahore Qalandars. The closing ceremony and final will take place in Lahore on March 19, which is also where the playoffs will take place.

Lahore Qalandars will try to be the first team to win back-to-back titles, while Islamabad United will try to win the trophy three times and become the most successful team.

Rawalpindi will host 11 games, Karachi and Lahore will each host 9 games, and Multan will host 5 games.
